Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in doctoral supervision
Webinar, 21st of May, 10.00-12.00
In this webinar we discuss the importance of DEI for supervision practice in higher education. We offer input and activities inviting experienced supervisors to:
- reflect on the values they would like their supervision practice to be guided by and how they relate to DEI
- consider their experience with cross-cultural and cross-neurotype and discuss different tools that may help navigate challenges
- consider the role of prevailing stigma and discrimination against marginalized community members in academia and discuss tools and strategies to protect PhD-students and create a diversity-affirmative working environment.
Speakers: Katrin Heimann and Dorina Gnaur, Centre for Educational Development - CED, Aarhus University
The webinar is done jointly with colleagues from Uppsala University and The Swedish Agricultural University (SLU). Supervisors from all three universities are welcome to participate. The webinar is given in English via Zoom.
