The Graduate School of Technical Sciences (GSTS) has approx. 275 PhD students enrolled. The GSTS offers PhD studies within all research areas of technical sciences, ranging from animal science over engineering to environmental science.
PhD programmes at the GSTS are well structured, and participation in PhD courses, visits to international research institutions or universities and dissemination of knowledge are parts of our PhD education programmes. You will be working on your own research project and we offer first class supervision and research facilities. All of our PhD students are a part of the scientific environment at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, and they can select from a broad range of both scientific courses and courses in transferable skills.
The majority of the PhD students are employed by the Faculty and employment conditions are favourable. GSTS offers research facilities at Campus Aarhus, Foulum, Flakkebjerg, Roskilde, Kalø and Silkeborg.
Students are admitted to GSTS based on either a 3-year Bachelor’s degree or a 5-year Master’s degree – both of which entitle the PhD student to be admitted with credit transfer.
