Andrés Villa-Henriksen

During his PhD studies, Andrés Villa-Henriksen researched optimised route planning in harvest operations. Harvest fleet route planning can make harvesting more efficient and more environmentally friendly. Andrés Villa-Henriksen studied how this system can be implemented in real-world scenarios by the use of Internet of Things technologies. Furthermore, he evaluated the system’s smart potential applications, such as risk of soil compaction reduction and selective harvest.

The original research provided new perspectives from different scientific disciplines to the implementation and application of optimised route planning in harvest operations.

The PhD study was completed at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Aarhus University.
